In this open SuperCoach Academy Masterclass, Dr Geoff Berry will support us to tap into the golden glow within, to support us on our Hero's Journey; and to be a more insightful guide to our clients on their own mythic transformational adventures. Dr Geoff will share his powerful insights from his years of exploration and study on the mysteries and power of light. He has discovered many examples and practices that reveal a similar pattern: the participant enters of the darkness of the unknown in order to find new light, a fresh source of power, an inner glow that radiates throughout the self and out into the world.
There are certain techniques that can lead us to this light of higher consciousness and deeper self-awareness, some of which are hidden in plain sight. Let’s explore this journey within, recognise our challenges as gateways to heroic victory, try a little alchemy, and discuss some other juicy stuff around this theme in our contemporary context.
This presentation takes the best of emergent depth psychology, mixes it up with ancient and timeless mythology, guides participants into the cave of their own being, and then brings them back with that golden glow.

Dr Geoff Berry
Dr Geoff Berry

Dr Geoff Berry wrote his PhD on the symbol of light and the way this timelessly represents power, abundance and order (Monash University 2010, Centre for Comparative Literature and Cultural Studies). Geoff’s MA was in Creative Literature (Deakin University 2005) and showed how our dreams connect us to deep mythic patterns. Both of Geoff’s postgraduate degrees explored the human relationship with nature and he follows through on this theme as the Australian Representative for the International Ecopsychology Society. Geoff has also served as the Chairperson of the Melbourne Zen Group (2005-2008), Director of Studies at the Phoenix Institute (2013-2015) and as the inaugural CEO of the South Coast Aboriginal Elders organisation (2019-2020). Geoff was an EU-funded post-doctoral researcher, spending 2012 in the south west of Ireland, and has presented and been published internationally. He is singer and lyricist with post-punk art rock band Severins, editor for PAN: Philosophy, Nature, Activism, and made the first ever ‘ecomythic’ documentary film, City Living, Nature Calling.
