Have your Christmas Cake and Eat it Too.

Have your Christmas Cake and Eat it Too.

What if you could have your Christmas cake and keep your waistline?

What if this Christmas you enjoyed a conscious Christmas feast, happily attended parties with a conscious awareness of your choices and their consequences?

Can you really have your cake and eat it too?

Enjoying Christmas without putting on excess kilos is totally possible if you are conscious, and eat mindfully, enjoying a cake or a glass of wine (or two) without bingeing.

Hi there!

Today I want to talk about choice and consequence and having a conscious Christmas.

I was just speaking to one of my clients who talked about how she wanted to have her cake and eat it too, and how she liked being able to make choices to eat whatever she wanted, whenever she wanted. But she was pretty dissatisfied with the excess fat on her body.

And I said to her, “Look, it’s totally fine that you want to eat whatever you want, whenever you want. And you might want to eat some chips sometimes, or a burger sometimes, or a bottle of wine, or that second packet of crisps. Totally fine that you want to make that choice, and there’s no judgment about that. The consequence of making that choice is that you have excess kilos on your body, excess fat from those extra calories that you chose to ingest into your body.”

You are living in exactly the body that you have chosen.
You are living the consequences of your choices.

If you’re currently living in a body that does not totally satisfy you and does not feel to be vibrant and slim and healthy and exactly the way you want it to be and look, then I would challenge you to say that you are living in exactly the body that you chose through every past choices that you’ve made leading up to this point. So, you are living the consequences of your past choices.

Going into Christmas, I want you to think about making conscious choices. And there’s lots of feasts, and lots of wine, and lots of beautiful chocolates and mince pies and things and beautiful leg hams available. Totally fine if you want to indulge in those things, and I certainly will be on Christmas day.

Go into that thinking consciously about the consequences that come if you choose to overindulge consistently.

So, are you going to be regretting it in January because you chose to feast for 10 days instead of just one?

Go into Christmas with an awareness of choices and the consequences of those choices. Because if you want to have a slim and healthy body then you need to be making choices that support that consequence.

I really wish you a super happy, wonderful, family-filled, conscious Christmas, and I hope you have lots and lots of love and happiness in your Christmas. And as you’re making every choice, just think about the consequences that those choices will have for your future.

Merry Christmas from Ollie and me!

PS – Thank you to my lovely client who inspired this video. I know you’re not the only one who struggles with this, and it was too good to just keep it to ourselves! Merry Christmas!

  1. I cannot concentrate on the awesome message because of the quasian cuteness overload #OllieDashProblems

    • How GoshDarn cute is that little chuckle at the end.

Awesome message Kylie – it’s about being in alignment with the choices you make.

Eating the cake and then being disappointed in the consequences afterwards is like being an Indian giver!

So indulge but don’t over indulge!

      • Exactly B! Knowing that your short term choice has a long term consequence is a really important awareness to make the right choices to lead you to where you want to go! 🙂

    • Yeah I had to edit out some of it. Too distracting. I was high on Mumma hormones when I decided not to edit out me playing with him! oops! Too cute.

    • Thanks Kat! I really appreciate your comment. Sharing Wisdom is my core focus these days! So glad you got it! 🙂
