Let me let you in on a secret.

Thinking about losing weight will not get you slim. Thinking about diets and stressing about food and calories and kilojoules will not get you slim.

If that’s what you’ve been doing, how’s that been working for you so far?

Ask yourself a question… Am I healthy? Really look inside yourself. Are your artery walls covered in plaque from all the hamburgers, fries and fried foods you’ve eaten?  Is your liver stressed out from alcohol? Does your energy drop throughout the day?

If you said yes, you’re not healthy. If you’re overweight you’re not healthy.

If you switch your focus and begin to focus on how you can increase your health, I guarantee slimness will come with it.

Your weight is just an external indicator of how healthy you are on the inside. Your organ health, your arterial health, your heart health, your emotional health, your physical health and your physical fitness all contribute to how fat or slim you are.

Especially your emotional health. Have you ever eaten when you’ve been bored, frustrated or sad? Do you eat for comfort? Do you eat because you’re upset at being so FAT?

Thinking about being fat will not get you slim.

Thinking about health will.

If you ask yourself before you do anything, will this increase or decrease my health? Then you have a barometer to make a good decision. A decision that’s not warped by weight-loss companies and marketing hype and bullshit.

If you focus on increasing your health a little every day, slimness will follow. It absolutely will. Forget about fat, calories and weighing yourself. Focus on doing one thing every day to improve your health.

Here’s a few ideas that will have you feeling more healthy instantly after:

  • Take a walk outside in the fresh air.
  • Get up from your desk and do some stretches
  • Eat a salad
  • Listen to a positive hypnosis session or do some affirmations.
